Typical Design Process:

The phases of a project at FirstAspect are:

1. Definition of specifications and requirements:
   This is done based on your literature, brochures, logos and any other information which will assist in defining your desires, needs and objectives. Many times, our clients provide a very general sketch of the site they have in mind, which is very helpful. This information is the basis for our definition of your particular needs.

2. Design of Visual Concept:
   We design a storyboard with sketches for each page to give the entire site a consistent look and feel. This is when we determine how the site will tie together and what graphic elements, buttons and bars will be used.

3. Design of Content Concept:
   Many clients have already prepared text, they wish to use to deliver their message. Often, the text from existing advertising brochures are quite applicable. Other times, we create the text, based upon the information developed in phase 1. This phase determines the actual content that will appear on each page.

4. Development stage:
   Once the design and content are to your satisfaction, we begin the process of buiding your page or site, including scanning or creating the necessary graphics. The previous phases allows for a very fast and efficient development process.

5. Testing:
   Each segment of the website is tested for HTML compliance with current standards, all links are validated and connection speeds within our accepted standard. Where possible, we design sites for maximum browser compatibility, given other design constraints.

6. Delivery & Implementation:
   Once the the completed page or site is uploaded to the hosting server. We perform another test for browser compatibilty and links validation. We also provide our clients with a soft copy backup of the completed project.

7. Promotion:
   The keywords associated to your site and other information is determined during Phase 1, and it enhances your site's visibility. During the development process, META tags and descriptions are included, to also facilitate visibility to the search engines, crawlers, robots and spiders. We will now submit you site or page for registration to hundreds of search engines, newsgroups, link listings and directories, and e-mail to you a comprehensive report indicating all the listings we promoted and secured, along with the particulars of the promotion.

8. Post Maintenance:
   Some of our web solution packages include annual maintenance. For the first year, we accomodate any changes that are to be made to your site. For our special package sites, we also provide additional maintenance services on a fixed or a variable fee basis.
