Q. How do I place an order?
A. You can place
an order for an account directly from our website
24 hours a day. All orders are received and processed
immediately, and you will receive a confirmation
as well as account information via e-mail. You
may also contact a FirstAspect representative
or dealer near you, they will be glad to assist
you.

Q. How long does it take to
set up a new account?
A. New accounts
are generally set up within 24 hours from the
time we receive your order. Once an account is
set up, an activation notice will be sent to you
via e-mail including your user-ID, password, and
FTP host name. You can begin uploading files to
your new website immediately.

Q. Would I be able to change
and update my web pages on a regular basis?
A. Your control
panel is designed to allow you to update your
page as often as you require. There is no charge
for updating your web site. You have unlimited
access via FTP, using your private id and password,
24-hours a day. As such, you can create and maintain
your web pages on your own computer and upload
files to your website at your convenience.

Q. How do I know how much memory
my site is using?
A. On the entry
page of your control panel, you will see three
statistics on the left side of the display. The
first is the space used by your website (this
includes space for log files, statistics software,
and other files necessary to operate your site).
The next gives you the bandwidth used so far for
this month. The third is availble free disk space.

Q. How do I create a new email
account?
A. In your control
panel, click on the "Mail Manager".
Now, click on "Add / Remove Accounts."
On the next screen, click on "Add Account"
available at the bottom of the page. This will
bring you to an administrative screen where you
can choose the account name and password. Note
that the account name assumes the "@yourdomain.com"
portion, so you should not include that in the
entry.

Q. Where does my home page
go in my site file system?
A. Your site root
directory where your home page resides is /www/html.
Your home page should be named index.htm or index.html.

Q. Will hosting my domain with
you require me to change my registrar?
A. Every domain
has an associated registrar. Although you may
save money transferring your domain from your
current registrar to us (we charge $12 per year),
it is not a required. All you have to do is change
your domain name servers to the ones we assign
to you.

Q. How do I update my nameservers?
A. When your account
is ready, we will send you the nameserver information
of our servers. You should inform your registrar
that you would like to change the DNS for your
domain. Many registrars have a web-based interface
for you to complete this operation. If not, you
will have to send them an email with your request.
They will respond and require that you reply to
confirm that you want the DNS changed.
